Shiqi has big dreams,
And is not going to give up so easily!
Hey you know whatt my dear. I'm so disappointed with myself, I feel that I'm far from an average SMU student. An average student in SMU goes through every single thing I'm going through for studies, they earn an average GPA of 3.3. On top of that, they are very involved in every other areas as well.
Rachel just got in to peer mentoring (a course I wanted to enroll in, but haven't had the courage to go for the interview). Besides, she has also gotten herself a chance to lead the next batch of students to Cambodia for OCSP. I'm proud of her, no doubt. Chengyee, with at least 6 rounds of interviews, managed to push through to get a HR scholarship from MOM. Kit Jang, my god-brother, is leading a team of students for local CSP.
Damon, not only is he one of the committee members of his school, he is also engaged in social enterprises. Murali ran for SOSCIETY and successfully became the one of the committee members for my school. Zack is a teaching assistant. Jingyi is involve in ballroom dancing, she always help out in her CCA and teaches her juniors.
They are my friends dear, they are just so close to me, yet so different from me..
Such a sweet motivation message from my cutest friend:
Shi qi!! Just wanna tell you I think you're the bravest for wanting to push yourself to greater achievements, and it doesn't matter if at the end of the day you pass or fail an interview or if you meet with any obstacle that you think you can't overcome because by taking that leap of faith to try it's already a huge feat :) and I believe you will achieve great things in yr life because you have a motivation and that I think is all that matters! Thanks for sharing yr feelings with me, I'm glad you feel encouraged and not otherwise. Rmb never to measure yourself against others because you're unique all by yrself! Someone recently told me this: "Would you rather live your résumé or live your own eulogy?" and it's really inspired me, because at the end of the day, people will rmb not what you've achieved but how you've touched their lives and impacted them. And Shi qi, you've touched me with yr courage to constantly push yourself beyond your comfort zone. :) Never give up!! Seeya in school :D
Such a blessing to have true friends around.
